At Upstate Carolina Medical Center, we offer a free card that makes hospital admission easier and faster for everyone – our MedKey registration card.
Why a MedKey Card?
MedKey cards are personalized and preprogrammed with insurance and other registration information and are simply "swiped" upon registering.
In addition to making registration easier and faster, the MedKey card provides the extra benefit of the MedKey Healthy Discounts Program. This program is a partnership between Upstate Carolina Medical Center and local businesses which provides discounts or other offers to MedKey cardholders. Just look for a MedKey Healthy Discounts sticker at your favorite retailers and show them your card to receive your benefits.
Why Participate in the Healthy Discounts Program?
In exchange for participation, the merchant's name, location and nature of the discount will be provided to MedKey cardholders when issued and updated lists will be available at the hospital. Our website also includes the most current list of all the merchants who are offering discounts to cardholders. A sticker displayed at businesses will identify those merchants who are participants. With the Healthy Discounts Program, everybody benefits.
We invite local businesses to join our MedKey Healthy Discounts Program by completing the "Merchant Letter of Agreement" form below and faxing it to (864) 487-0948, or mail to Upstate Carolina Medical Center, Attention Dottie Spencer, 1530 N. Limestone St., Gaffney, SC 29340. You will then be mailed the agreement signed by our representative, along with MedKey Healthy Discounts merchant stickers.
