Visiting Policies

We request that all visitors cooperate in promoting the comfort and wellbeing of our patients by observing visiting hours, patients’ requests, and all hospital regulations.

All visitors are requested to use the main entrance to the hospital when visiting inpatients, which is open until 9 p.m.  After 9 p.m., admittance to the hospital is through the Emergency Department.  This helps to ensure the safety of our patients, visitors and hospital employees.

Visitors' Roles in Patient Recuperation

Visitors have unique opportunities to assist in our patients' recuperation.  Rest is an important part of patient treatment, therefore, the hospital must take steps to ensure that patients are able to rest and recuperate as quickly as possible.

Visitors should respect No Visitor and/or Isolation signs. They are ordered by the attending physician for the patient’s benefit.

Visitors with colds or with other infections should not come to the hospital.

Gifts of food and drink, if contrary to the prescribed diet, can do great harm. Check with the patient’s nurse before offering food or drink to a patient.

Tobacco Use

No tobacco use is permitted within this facility or anywhere on hospital grounds.

Traffic and Parking

Speeds are limited to the speed posted (10 mph).  Pedestrians should use crosswalks and sidewalks where provided.  We ask that you park in designated areas only.  Please reserve handicapped parking areas for those with authorized state handicapped parking permits.  A special permit may be issued by the Plant Operations for individual needs.  The circle drive at the front of the hospital is for loading and unloading only.
