Cardiopulmonary Services

The Cardiopulmonary Department at Upstate Carolina Medical Center offers a variety of important diagnostic testing, treatments and care to patients suffering from lung and heart disorders.  Diagnosis is key to proper treatment and prevention of a heart attack.  From cardiac stress testing to cardiopulmonary tests, Upstate Carolina Medical Center's Cardiopulmonary Department strives to meet the needs of our community.  The department is staffed with Registered and Certified Respiratory Therapists and registered Cardiac Ultrasound Technologists.

Cardiopulmonary is an essential part of patient care services offered at Upstate Carolina Medical Center.  Providing care for inpatient and outpatient settings, the department screens for heart and lung disorders.  NBRC accredited therapists provide treatment for those diagnosed with respiratory diseases.

Cardiopulmonary provides an ICAVL (Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation for the Vascular Lab) accredited lab with Registered Cardiovascular Technologists.  The Blood Gas Lab is accredited by COLA.
