Computed Tomography Imaging DepartmentServices

Computerized Axial Tomography (CT or CAT Scan) can produce three-dimensional pictures of a cross section of a body part.  This test is able to detect some conditions that conventialal x-rays cannot.

Upstate Carolina offers clear, concise images using a GE 8-slice LightSpeed which benefits the patients with less time on the scannning table.

Some CT exams do require the patient to not eat or drink prior to the test, or may require oral prep the day before the test.  Be sure to pick up the One-Call Scheduling form at your physician's office for information on your test.
